It’s better with June

Welcome to June’s birthday present 2010.

This site is named after a song about June called “It’s Better with June.”  It was first recorded by me and Clay back in 2000, and then it was remade by an amazing jazz trio called Wildlife 3000.  The song was written after a conversation with June in which we tried to figure out all the elements of a good song.  We came up with a list that included things like a British accent, some French, some talking, saying “ow!” and “sha la la,” and some other elements, and I tried to use them all in this song for her birthday – right after we’d moved to NYC together, after living in different places after college.

This year I thought it would be a neat gift to find a new interpretation of how life’s better with someone as great as June.
